Independent research on getting found by AI.
We exist to make one thing measurable and learnable: whether AI answer engines recommend your brand, and what it takes to earn that. We publish sourced data and practitioner playbooks, and we document every figure with its primary source.
Who writes the guide
Spent a decade in technical SEO before pivoting to AI search in 2023, when the first AI Overviews started rewriting how brands were discovered. Sets the editorial direction and the citation-tracking methodology.
Builds and maintains the data set behind the guide, aggregating primary studies from Princeton, Gartner, Ahrefs, Yext and Seer. Obsessive about attributing every number to its original source.
Covers the machine-readable layer — schema markup, llms.txt, structured data and how retrieval-augmented generation actually selects sources. Writes the deep technical playbooks.
Focuses on how AI search reshapes B2B buying journeys, from first prompt to the buyer’s shortlist. Translates research into category-specific plays.
Long-form editor and fact-checker. Runs the human review gate every piece passes through before publishing — because unsupervised AI content is exactly what erodes citation trust.
Editorial independence, by design
Nothing on this site can be bought. We don\u2019t sell rankings, placements or coverage — because the moment research is for sale, it stops being worth citing.
How we work
Primary sources only
Every statistic links to the study or company report it came from. Where a figure is vendor-reported or measured under specific conditions, we say so.
Human editorial gate
No piece publishes without human review. We use AI to draft and research, never to publish unsupervised.
Refreshed quarterly
AI engines have a strong recency bias, so we revisit core pages at least every quarter and date every update.
No paid placement
We do not sell rankings, citations or coverage. Nothing on this site can be bought.
About the guide
Who is behind AI Visibility Guide?
An independent editorial research team led by Daniel Okonkwo, with research by Elena Vasquez and technical coverage by Marcus Feld. We publish sourced data and practitioner playbooks on Generative Engine Optimization.
How does AI Visibility Guide make money?
The guide is free and reader-supported. Our library, data and playbooks carry no paywall. We do not run paid placements, sponsored rankings or affiliate-driven "best of" lists.
Are you affiliated with a specific GEO vendor or agency?
We maintain editorial independence. Vendors and agencies cannot pay for coverage or for a position in any list we publish. Where we mention tools, we aim to present the category fairly.
How do you choose and verify statistics?
We prioritise peer-reviewed research and first-party company reporting over secondary blogs, link each figure to its source, and flag when a number is contested or vendor-reported. Everything passes a human fact-check before publishing.
Can I contribute or suggest a correction?
Yes. We welcome corrections, new studies and practitioner data. Reach the editorial team via the contact link in the footer.
